DBA terrain We have, in the past, played around with more realistic terrain, such as shaped hills. These look great, but aren't that practical as the troop elements kept sliding off. Now we mainly just use flat card to define the terrain areas, with some bits of moveable terrain to define the terrain type.

DBA army cards
The army lists in the DBA rules book are sometimes hard to understand (and read if the lighting is poor).
Therefore I have make up a laminated A4 sheet for each army I, and my friends, have.
The rectangles on the card are the same size as the element bases. I match the card layout when I store my army in its DBA storage boxes.
We put the card on the table before the game and place the elements we are using on top of the appropriate part of the card. This makes it easy to check you have a valid 12-element army.
I created the cards using Purgatory Design's excellent Intaglio software. But you could use any vector graphics program (Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, etc).
J'avais fait un plan de déploiement pour DBM il y a fort longtemps.

Collision Course DBA 3.0 Tournament
This is a DBA 3.0 game with special rules for deployment.
As described by Australian designer David Lawrence “This format modifies the deployment to simulate the accidental encounter between two marching forces and poses interesting tactical challenges as your army arrives on the field in three columns. It allows different armies and a different style of generalship to shine”
The rules modifications for Collision Course are available for free on the Facebook pages of “DBA” and “DBA & HOTT” and are in the files section listed as the Word document named “CCV Local Conditions.docx
